Communication Capacity Assessment of Health Care System in Kazakhstan in Relation to Vaccination Against COVID-19

Evaluated communication practices within Kazakhstan's healthcare system regarding COVID-19 to identify improvements in structures, resources, and strategies. Using a qualitative approach that included a desk review, SWOT and stakeholder analyses, interviews, and focus group discussions, the study highlighted significant efforts by the Ministry of Healthcare and its subsidiaries to address pandemic-related challenges.

Primary Health Care and COVID-19: Country Case Studies in the Eastern Mediterranean Region

Explored the role of primary health care (PHC) in responding to COVID-19 in 22 Eastern Mediterranean countries, focusing on public health functions, multisectoral collaboration, and community engagement. The findings contributed to the WHO 2022 Primary Health Care Global Report.

Independent Assessment of the Design and Performance of Primary Health Care in Afghanistan

Conducted a mixed-method evaluation of Afghanistan’s Basic Package of Health Services using the Primary Health Care Performance Initiative framework. The study identified strengths, challenges, and opportunities for improvement in governance, financing, community-based healthcare, and service delivery. Findings were presented at the Geneva Conference 2020.

Factors Influencing Performance of Contracted Non-State Providers (NSPs) in Implementing Health Services in Afghanistan

Analyzed the contextual, institutional, and contractual factors impacting the performance of NSPs delivering the Basic Package of Health Services in Afghanistan. It utilized qualitative methods, including in-depth interviews and focus group discussions, conducted in six provinces. The study provided actionable insights to enhance governance, resource management, and operational strategies for NSPs operating in fragile contexts.
